trainings

My leadership trainings provide opportunities to increase self-awareness, deepen reflection, and embolden action. I’ve had the pleasure to present for local organizations in Minnesota, across the nation, and across the world.

Here’s a sampling of my top three trainings. Let’s connect about your organization’s needs.

Practical Leadership 1.0

Cultivating Thriving Supervisory Relationships

Effectively carrying out a supervisor role is more "art" than science. Often, managers are left on their own to try and figure out how to implement their supervisor duties. Unskilled supervision can create organizational cultures that are ineffective at best, and “toxic” at worst. When supervisors understand the expectations of their role, they are able to supervise in a way that fosters healthy working relationships with each employee that reports to them. This, in turn, creates thriving, inclusive organizational cultures. This highly interactive virtual training provides participants with immediately implementable tools and strategies.

Practical Leadership 2.0

Building Effective Teams

Many work environments are increasingly complex and uncertain, requiring high functioning teams. Effective teamwork needs to be cultivated and given regular attention. This workshop helps team leaders develop shared leadership among team members, foster belonging and inclusion for all team members, and provides concrete tools for improving collaboration between team members. This workshop is designed for both team leaders and team members, who will receive valuable skills, tools and ideas that can be immediately implemented.

Leading in Uncertainty

We are living in turbulent, chaotic, and complex times. This is a pivotal time for individuals, organizations, companies, communities, and governments. Right now, every hour seems to bring a new challenge, and change feels more and more radical. It’s sometimes difficult to know how to equip ourselves for leading when the future is so unpredictable and unknowable. This, like no other time, requires us to shift from conventional ways of leading to focus on adaptive leadership. Through an interactive curriculum, this training offers frameworks and tools to improve your ability to supervise others in a constantly changing, uncertain context. It includes an introduction to methods and models useful in complex adaptive systems and methods as taught by the Human Systems Dynamics. Lisa is a certified HSD professional.
